To Friends Camp from Boston, Portland and points south:
Drive north from Portland on Interstate 295 to Interstate 95. Look for the third Augusta exit (#113) across the Kennebec river bridge to Route 202 North and Route 3 East. Continue on for 14 miles to South China. Go through the light in South China and take the next left onto Route 202 (Lakeview Drive). The Friends Camp driveway is 3.5 miles on the right. The address is 729 Lakeview Drive.
To Friends Camp from Canada, Bangor and points north:
If you are traveling south on I95 take Exit 127 onto Route 137 (Kennedy Memorial Drive) into Waterville. Go about a mile and half and turn right after you have crossed a small bridge, just before the road curves. Travel 2.2 miles and turn right, then go 6.1 miles to light at China Village. Continue straight at the light; you are now on Route 202. Stay on Route 202 toward South China for 3.5 miles. (This part of Route 202 is also known as Lakeview Drive.) After you pass the China Middle School, Friends Camp is the third driveway on your left. The address is 729 Lakeview Drive.
To Friends Camp from Ellsworth, Belfast and points east:
From the Route 1 traffic interchange in Belfast drive west on Route 3. Go approximately 32 miles from the coast to Route 202 North. Turn Right onto Route 202; the Friends Camp driveway is 3.5 miles from Route 3 on your right. The address is 729 Lakeview Drive.
Charter Bus to the New England Yearly Meeting of Friends Sessions: To line up with the start of the Yearly Meeting Sessions we have a charted bus to Castleton, VT that will leave camp at the end of the Fox Session. This bus will make stops in Portland, ME, and Portsmouth, NH and Concord, NH.
The costs for this one-way trip are:
- Portland, ME – $60
- Portsmouth, NH – $70
- Concord, NH – $80
- Castleton, VT – $90
Any Quaker youth or adults who wish to take this bus to Castleton, VT on August 2nd can get on this bus in Portland ($60), Portsmouth ($50) and Concord ($40). This charted bus is also for campers who are not attending the Yearly Meeting Sessions who wish to get off in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and southern Maine.

- 10:00 AM – Leaves Friends Camp – 729 Lakeview Dr, South China (Big Bird Hall Parking Lot)
- 11:15 AM – Arrives: South Portland – I-95, Exit 46 (Skyway Drive – Park and Ride Lot)
- 12:45 AM – Arrives: Portsmouth – I-95 (Portsmouth Circle – NH State Liquor Store Parking Lot)
- 2:00 PM – Arrives: Concord – I-89, Exit 2 (Iron Works Road – Park and Ride Lot)
- 4:30 PM – Arrives: Castleton State College in Castleton, VT (Fine Arts Center Parking Lot)

Concord Coach Bus:
The Concord Coach Bus Line that stops in Augusta is the nearest bus stop to Friends Camp. Camp staff can pick up campers at the bus stop for a fee of $25. To read more about the Concord Coach buses from Portland, Boston-Logan Airport, New York City, and more, visit the Concord Coach Website.
Plan to fly into Augusta, Maine or Portland, Maine. Camper’s flights should arrive between 11:00AM and 2:30PM on drop-off Sundays and should depart between 6:00AM and 10:00AM on departure Saturdays. The Friends Camp driver will be wearing a Friends Camp T-shirt. You must send us the name of the airline, flight times, and the flight numbers two weeks in advance if you need your child picked-up or dropped-off. One-way van transportation to or from airports is provided for an extra fee of $50 to Portland or $25 to Augusta.
